The GooneyBirds formed in 1987 and toured extensively, playing 200+ shows a year at bars, colleges and festivals in the Midwest and across the U.S. for a decade. The Cabooze in Minneapolis hosted the band every Sunday from 1989 to 1992. The band tragically lost their singer, Jessica Schwartzbauer, in 2003, and as a result, they formed the Jessica Scwartzbauer Memorial Foundation to raise awareness & support and celebrate her life. The GooneyBirds will reunite to play two shows at Papa Charlie’s on January 15 & 16.
