Since 1995, Cloud Cult has crafted sprawling, cathartic albums that have won them the attention of the New York Times, MTV, Spin, and Billboard and a devoted following of fans. During that time, the band grew from the solo project of singer/songwriter Craig Minowa to include cellist Sarah Young, violinist Shannon Frid, bassist Shawn Neary (formerly of Tapes ‘n’ Tapes), drummer Arlen Peiffer and painters Connie Minowa and Scott West, who paint live at the band’s performances. With their recent album release, Feel Good Ghosts, Cloud Cult has continued the evolution of the band's unique sound, covering the spectrum of indie-rock, electronica, folk, and classical.
